Technique to Pull Over

A broad and strong torso contributes greatly to the impressive image and muscular symmetry, to develop harmoniously all the muscles that are part of the rib cage is therefore essential to achieve this.

Of the wide range of fitness movements, the pull over is one of the most complete exercise for opening the chest and make it bigger. With this exercise mainly works the chest, but they also become triceps, serratus anterior and latissimus dorsi muscles that determine the extent of the torso.

However, its realization is not easy and we need to know well the execution technique to prevent injuries while exercising.

First we must look at our back, and prevent bowing of the same while we perform pull over, something very common if we do not focus on technique.

This bow can be compensated with an abdominal crunch, but we can prevent back injuries by raising the feet so that your knees are at an angle of 90 degrees at the hip, and thus may not be back arched but remain supported by the bank.

The semi-flexed at the elbows is another aspect to consider, as too often make the mistake of lowering the dumbbell with your arm fully extended, which can overload forearms and raises the risk of shoulder dislocation.

The course of the exercise assumes great importance, as too steep a fall can injure the shoulder, overloading. So when we feel that the pectoral is stretched, it is time to return to the concentric phase and to end the decline of the barbell.

Monitoring of breathing is also important because it is an exercise where you work with the opening of the ribcage and if you forget to breathe properly, we limit the movement. So we must inspire the lower the barbell and slowly exhale during the lifting of the same or concentric phase.

If you have time training with weights and master the basic technique of pull over, it’s time to move forward a little, you can opt for this option to pull over Schwarzenegger.

If you pay attention to these fundamental aspects that contribute to a good implementation techniques, you will achieve great results and prevent injuries while you do pull over, a valuable exercise to widen the back and achieve a strong chest.
